Swim Class Descriptions

Water Babies

(6 months – 36 months)

This interactive class is designed for babies and their parents working in the pool together to become comfortable swimming in and under the water independently. We work on developing skills to enable the child to be relaxed, float independently on their back.

Prerequisite: None
Class limit: 5

Water Wigglers

(2 – 3 years old)

This level is designed for the graduates of the Water Babies class. The Children will work with a parent or guardian and we’ll introduce roll over breathing, learn how to do ‘big arms,’ and be comfortable kicking on their back. We’ll also ensure that the child is able to complete an unassisted turnaround swim.

Please note: Swim diapers must be worn in the pool by all children 3 years old and younger.

Oysters | Junior Level 1

This introductory class is designed for the nervous swimmer or very beginner. We will work on submersions and back floats while assisting the child to feel comfortable and safe in the water. The foundation of streamlining will be introduced. The use of positive reinforcement is critical to help the child build trust and confidence.

Crabs | Junior Level 2

This level is for the child who has developed comfort in the water and is ready to learn the basics of freestyle and backstroke and streamlining. The swimmers will begin to explore their newfound skills of swimming underwater.

Prerequisite: Graduate of Junior level 1 or Water Wigglers
Class limit: 3

Ocotopus | Junior Level 3

This class is for children who are able to swim freestyle and backstroke over a short distance and are now ready to learn freestyle side breathing. This class is where we will begin to see the students putting it all together and really making a big splash of progress in the pool.

Prerequisite: Graduate of Junior Level 2
Class limit: 3

Starfish | Youth Level 1

This level is for the swimmer who has developed comfort in the water and is ready to learn the basics of freestyle and backstroke and streamlining. The students discover in this class that the water is a fun place to be and learn to develop their own sense of confidence.

Class limit: 3

Salmon | Youth Level 2

For children who are able to swim freestyle and backstroke over a short distance and are now ready to learn freestyle side breathing and introduce breaststroke. In this class we see the swimmers putting all the things learned above together and their confidence grows.

Prerequisite: Graduate of Youth Level 1 or Junior Level 3
Class limit: 4

Sea Lion | Youth Level 3

Having achieved the skills of swimming backstroke, freestyle with side breathing and breaststroke students are now ready to learn butterfly and breaststroke progression.

Prerequisite: Graduate of Youth Level 2
Class limit: 4 – 5

Whale | Youth Level 4

Swimmers will work to master freestyle and backstroke as well as aiming to perfect breaststroke and butterfly. Swimmers will also begin to learn swim team basics such as starts, turns, and drills.

Prerequisite: Graduate of Youth Level 3
Class limit: 7

  • Enter your name, email, phone and password. Then click “Sign Up”
  • Select the date you want to swim on the top of the page.
  • Select the time and lane you would like to swim in by clicking the “Book” button.
  • Select the lane again by checking the box and click “Next” at the bottom of the page.
  • Review reservation time, check the terms agreement box and click “Confirm Booking”.
  • You will be sent an email confirming your reservation.
